Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility is to prepare and pack ingredients (primarily vegetables, fruit and sauces) according to pre-determined recipes, while minimizing food wastage
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and follows relevant safety and hygiene regulations, in accordance with current regulations and Prepped’s standards
- Responsible for ensuring sufficient inventory is available for their tasks, and informs procurement manager for replenishment
- Ensures all kitchen equipment and tools are used safely, correctly and kept in good working condition at all times by team
- Works as a team player to support other employees in completing their tasks
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a food service environment (production kitchen, food factory) is preferred, but not required
- Basic Food Hygiene certification required
- Work Hours: 6.30am - 4.30pm (includes break), Monday to Friday (no weekends required)
Training will be provided, but some basic understanding of food prep and production kitchen operations would be ideal
