JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- To undertake all carpentry works for existing fittings, fixtures, furniture and equipment in the hotel as required.
- When necessary, to repair and or to do touch-up of all guests rooms and other hotel outlets as directed by the building supervisor.
- To repair and replace all locked and other iron-monger items as to whenever necessary.
- To implement new project expeditiously as directed by the building supervisor, technical executive, assistant maintenance manager or chief engineer.
- To undertake all daily work orders or maintenance request as assigned by supervisor and ensure that all works are carried out within the time frame and are satisfactorily completed.
- To promptly report any problems and the completion of assigned works to the building supervisor or officer in charge.
- To arrange for necessary supplies / equipment to carry out assigned work and to ensure all tools and equipment are kept properly and in good condition after being utilized.
- To ensure that all work areas and workshop are kept in orderly manner and clean at all times.
- To be able to work independently and under the general supervision of the officer in charge, assistant maintenance manager or chief engineer.
- To perform other job satisfactorily as to when requested by the officer in charge, assistant manager or the chief engineer.
REQUIREMENTS
- Basic in carpentry certificate or equivalent
- At least 2 years working experience in carpentry areas
- Able to conduct any major repairs and develop new method of maintenance programme
- Ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Able to write reports and reports on daily activities.
